Players take the role of luchador managers attempting to recruit the best masked wrestlers, who will then compete to see who can help their manager maintain the best record.

Players secretly choose which luchadors to use each round, which will be sidelined, and which will be retired.

The first fighter to best their opponent’s fighter three times will become Lucha Jefe.
