Bajo Wooden Tiles Memory Game
Looking for fun games that keep little brains active? This Bajo Memory Game is a great way to strengthen your child’s memory and develop their cognitive skills, whilst having loads of fun too. Beautifully illustrated by Sebastián Rubiano, match up the pairs to win!
The Memory Game by Bajo is made up of 36 square tiles (18 matching pairs) featuring illustrations of everyday objects such as apples, teddy bears, and clocks.
How to Play:
- Shuffle all the tiles and lay them face down on a flat surface.
- Each player takes turns flipping over two tiles.
- If the tiles match, the player keeps the pair and takes another turn.
- If they don’t match, turn them back over in the same place – try to remember what you saw!
- Continue taking turns until all pairs have been found.
- The player with the most matching pairs at the end wins!
You can also play solo – see how many turns it takes you to match all the tiles, then try to beat your own record next time!
Why are memory games so good for kids?
- Memory and concentration: Playing helps children strengthen short and long-term memory, focus their attention, and recognise patterns. These skills support everyday learning, from remembering teachers’ instructions and word spellings to recalling friends’ names.
- Language and communication: This game encourages children to talk about what they see, name objects, and explain the rules, helping build vocabulary and confidence in expressing themselves.
- Learning through play: Memory games make learning fun and effortless. Children stay motivated and engaged as they challenge their brains, building skills in areas like vocabulary, maths, and more all while playing.
Here at Babipur, we’ve always admired Bajo’s craftsmanship and ethical ethos. Each toy is made in Poland from responsibly sourced wood, combining traditional toy-making with modern, thoughtful design.
