Ghost Sweeper Mikami is an adventure title based on the anime and manga series of the same name. The story follows the avaricious but highly skilled exorcist Reiko Mikami and her two assistants, the deviant teenage boy Tadao Yokoshima and the ghost girl Okinu, as they manage their ghost-sweeping agency and deal with various supernatural disturbances in modern-day Japan. The game unfolds through story-driven “Reports” (chapters) told from Yokoshima’s perspective, incorporating a unique card battle system for combat encounters rather than the platforming gameplay found in the Super Famicom version. The narrative balances episodic exorcism cases with character interactions, featuring the original voice cast from the anime series.
