Assassin’s Creed Chronicles on PS Vita is a collection of three separate stories, each following a different Assassin in a distinct historical period, all tied together by the pursuit of a powerful Precursor box. The saga begins with Shao Jun in 16th-century China, who, trained by Ezio Auditore, seeks vengeance against the “Eight Tigers” to rebuild the Chinese Brotherhood. The journey continues with Arbaaz Mir in 19th-century India, who amidst conflict between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company, attempts to recover the Koh-i-Noor diamond (a Piece of Eden) from Templars. Finally, the trilogy concludes with Nikolai Orelov in the aftermath of the 1918 Russian Revolution, as he undertakes one final mission for the Brotherhood to steal an artifact from the Tsar’s family, only to end up protecting the Grand Duchess Anastasia from both Templars and his former allies.
Gameplay: Assassin’s Creed Chronicles on the PS Vita is a 2.5D side-scrolling stealth platformer focusing on linear, level-based missions. Players navigate vibrant environments using stealth mechanics, parkour, and a unique set of gadgets specific to each of the three protagonists (Shao Jun, Arbaaz Mir, and Nikolai Orelov). The gameplay emphasizes avoiding detection, though a challenging combat system is present. The goal is to complete missions by utilizing cover, shadows, and distractions to achieve high “Shadow Gold” ratings, which reward silent and non-lethal approaches.
Language: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) are generally supported for interface and subtitles. Some versions, such as the Japanese release, include full English support.
