Battle Royale is a pro-wrestling themed multiplayer brawler for the TurboGrafx-16 where you choose from five outrageous wrestlers, each with unique moves, strengths, and personalities. Enter the ring as The Fighter, Mr. Piranha, The Giant Bull, The Phantom, or The Samurai—each styled after classic ’80s wrestling archetypes. Your goal: outlast your opponents in a chaotic free-for-all and claim the championship belt.

Gameplay mixes arcade-style grappling, quick strikes, running attacks, and special techniques. Timing is everything—lock up with opponents, mash out of holds, or send rivals flying with powerful throws. Multiplayer supports up to five competitors in rotation, making it one of the TG-16 library’s go-to party-style games. Bright visuals, voiced referee calls, and high-energy crowd reactions give the game the over-the-top wrestling feel Hudson Soft was known for.
