The Other Side – Kimon “Nian” Unit Box, 32 mm Scale Model Plastic Figures

The Kimon’s unending armies of oni pour in from the Beyond, a desolate realm unlike Earth or Malifaux. In 1907, a cult of oni-worshippers known as the Satori no Michi, were able to make use of a powerful artifact known as the Obsidian Gate to resurrect the Demon King Shuten-doji. Shuten-doji’s once-mortal general Zhong Kui has been using the Obsidian Gate to usher more and more oni across the Veil to continue a war that began 900 years ago.

On the table, Kimon are a power-hungry and greedy Allegiance that focuses on overwhelming their opponents with sheer strength and power. Units strengthen themselves throughout a fight through the use of powerful Triggers, Summoning new units and controlling the battlefield through Pinned Tokens

Beasts of consumption and terror, the Nian’s roar signals the beginning of hunts that scour the Beyond.

Fireteams near Nian become more mobile, which helps in claiming nearby Objectives. The Nian excel at using terror to their advantage, giving out Pinned and Inspired Tokens and flipping enemy Units out of Glory, 

While in Glory, Nian Fireteams can flip two cards for duels when targeted by any Action. This makes the Nian difficult to take down, allowing them to reserve the cards in their Control hand for other duels.

The models in The Other Side are 32mm scale with high levels of detail, allowing painters plenty of opportunities to paint their Champions, Squads, and Titans in whatever way they wish.
